Aleera stared angrily at her master, refusing to believe what he'd just said to her.
Another bride? As in one that would take her place? But that meant she would not be his favorite anymore! And what about Alena? Was he going to simply ignore his daughter? Well, perhaps that wasn't the best example. He still interacted with Vitalia and Milena. And he still mated with Verona and Marishka, but SHE WAS SPECIAL! Special, damn it!
“ Aleera? Pet?” he asked her, softly. She didn't respond and he quirked an eyebrow. “ What's wrong, pet?”
Closing her mouth, she turned from him, her arms crossed over her supple chest and she ignored him.
This only made him wonder.
“What is bothering you, zoet?” he asked.
She couldn't resist when he spoke Dutch, her native language, especially when he called her 'sweet'. She turned to face him, her blue eyes shining with the tears she was forcing into her eyes, her plump pink lips pouted.
“You don't love me anymore,” she mused.
Dracula's eyes furrowed. “Why would you think that?”
“You're getting a new bride. Replacing me.” she whined.
Dracula nearly laughed. This was what she was upset about? That he was merely expanding his family? He never gave his heart in any relationship he partook in.
Aleera however, did not find this funny. She let out a cry that nearly made Dracula drop his drink.
“Zoet, I will never replace you, I love you as I love Verona and Marishka, and I'll love my new bride the same.” he lied.
He had made her believe it however and he led her to his coffin, slamming the lid with supernatural strength.
