SHORT, BUT YET REALLY COOL. REALLY REALLY COOL {found online}
Dracula watched Gabriel and Anna run as the vampires launched themselves towards them, he had been so close to gaining the Princess as a bride. Gabriel had a knack for getting in his way. The monk he had with him was fast becoming a nuisance on his own. His inventions had killed two of his brides and Aleera had been lucky enough to escape. As if she heard his thoughts Aleera landed on the dance floor some feet away from him.
“We have him master, our children will live.”
“Yes my dear, yes they will.”
“Verona and Marishka will not have died in vain.”
Aleera stood looking at the abandoned room, she had not been at the masquerade whilst he was with Anna, she had come in with Frankenstein’s monster. She had helped Igor find him with her heightened senses, Dracula knew that the monster would be close by. Gabriel, as her master called him,wouldn’t leave something so precious to someone other than himself. Aleera stepped closer to Dracula, ignoring a sound in the distance.
It took him a moment to recognise a far off sound as shattering glass then, shortly after, light burst through the doors. He saw shock on Aleera’s face then he lunged at her and protected her from the scorching light. In his folded wings he could feel Aleera shaking and it took all his concentration not to scream out in pain. The light was like the burning sun, like walking out into a hot sunny day but worse. When the light had finally faded he stepped back, Aleera was still shaking but concern for him was in her eyes. She cautiously walked towards him as he healed slowly. He could see that some of her hair was smoking as well as bits of her clothing. If he had not reacted she would not be standing there, she would have joined her sisters in death and he would be alone. She came to him and rested her head on his chest, though his heart was dead his blood was boiling. Gabriel and his pathetic followers would pay for this, his brides, children and now his servants had all died and he had a lot to do with it. As he stroked Aleera’s fiery red curls something stirred in his long dead heart. When Marishka and Verona had died he had not seen it, it was easier for him to mourn them like that. But seeing Aleera nearly vanquished in front of his eyes gave him a surge of something he thought lost forever,love. He realised he needed his brides, they kept him sane through the years. They were his companions, friends, his children’s mothers and now, after all this time, he knew they were invaluable. He may get new brides but they would not replace those he had lost. Aleera was now his only connection to them, on her was the burden. He vowed to take revenge for his lost brides as well as for her. Gabriel would pay.
